About the Role

The Senior Caseworker Home Based Care works as part of a team to provide case management, carer, support and supervision, leadership and mentoring for the Care Services case management team, in conjunction with the Care Services Team Leader and Manager

The key objectives of this role are:

  • Provide an effective case management service to support the care of children and young people who are in home-based care placement, including children and young people supported through a Targeted Care Package.
  • Provide support and supervision to home-based carers, including supporting them to provide the day-to-day care of the children and young people placed in their care.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring for the home-based care team including responding to placement requests and supervising home-based care Caseworkers and Support Workers.

About You

  • Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology, Diploma of Welfare Studies, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in delivering case work and therapeutic interventions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the child protection and out of home care systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders and service providers.
