About the Opportunity

Meli is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Housing Team Leader to oversee the daily operations of the Tenancy Housing Management (THM) program, ensuring a client-focused, evidence-based approach to housing services. In this pivotal leadership role, you will support a team committed to delivering positive housing outcomes, maintaining compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, and fostering strong stakeholder relationships. As part of the Youth, Housing, and South West Services Leadership Team, you’ll drive service quality, oversee lease agreements, and advocate for program participants. This role is perfect for a passionate professional who thrives on collaboration, continuous improvement, and empowering others to achieve secure housing solutions.

  • 1 FTE working 38 hours per week
  • $115,319 p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

About You

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Tenancy Management or a related field. A qualification in Social Work, Welfare/Youth Work, or a similar discipline is highly desirable.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Transitional Housing Management, the Residential Tenancy Act, and the broader homelessness and allied service sectors.
  • Proven knowledge of youth homelessness and its impact on self-efficacy and determination, including experience working with vulnerable young people and their families.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams with a focus on support, accountability, and effective people management.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills, with the ability to produce accurate and insightful reports.
  • Understanding of the Victorian Child Safe Standards and a commitment to fostering a child-safe organisation in both culture and practice
