Community Engagement Connector – Family Support and Care Services

Foster connections, break barriers, and empower communities in this dynamic engagement role.

About the Role

As a Community Engagement Connector, you will:

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with community groups, services, and stakeholders to support families in the Family Preservation and Reunification (FPR) Response.
  • Collaborate with the Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-operative and local partners to create culturally informed responses and opportunities for self-determination.
  • Identify and address systemic barriers that impact meaningful community connections for children and families.
  • Lead workshops and capacity-building initiatives to enhance the ability of organizations to engage and support families effectively.
  • Harness community resources and partnerships to create sustainable outcomes in areas of health, education, culture, and more.

Position Details

  • Fixed term contract until 30 June 2025
  • 1.0 FTE working 38 hours per week
  • $97,614 p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Community Development, Health Promotion, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in addressing systemic barriers and fostering meaningful connections for families.
  • Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A commitment to culturally informed practices, particularly in collaboration with Aboriginal communities.
