We are looking for an experienced Senior Caseworker to join our Carer Assessment, Recruitment and Support team in the Barwon area. In this role, you'll play a vital part in recruiting, training, and supporting foster carers, ensuring the best matches for children in need of care. About the Role
As a Senior Caseworker, you will:
- Coordinate and implement the recruitment and retention of foster carers, providing information, advice, and support to prospective carers.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and facilitate the training and accreditation of foster carers.
- Ensure placement referrals are efficiently managed, matching children with carers whose capabilities align with their needs.
- Work closely with the Foster Care team to ensure carers receive the support and resources necessary for providing high-quality care.
- Manage relationships with government agencies, external stakeholders, and foster carers to enhance service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, including the Department of Families, Fairness, and Housing (DFFH) Home-based Care Program.
- Lead and supervise staff, fostering a supportive and accountable work environment.
- Play a key role in the development and implementation of marketing and engagement activities to attract and retain foster carers.

- 1 FTE working 38 hours per week
- $106,644 p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

What We're Looking For
We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:
- Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology, Diploma of Welfare Studies or equivalent qualifications.
- Experienced and skilled in facilitating training and undertaking complex assessments with recommendations.
- Knowledge and/or experience of the child protection and out of home care systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including experience in report writing and facilitation skills.
