We’re looking for a Family Worker to join our Family Support Southwest team in Warrnambool, where you’ll play a vital role in creating meaningful change for children and their families.
About the Role
As a Family Worker, you will:
- Provide case management, case coordination, and assertive outreach to vulnerable families.
- Work collaboratively to deliver tailored interventions, including safety plans, family action plans, and group work programs.
- Build strong relationships with families, empowering them to navigate challenges and achieve positive outcomes for children.
- Partner with community services, child protection teams, and other professionals to ensure holistic support and effective outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to the continuous improvement of our services.
Position Details
- Part time fixed term for 12 months
- 0.8 FTE working 30.4 hours per week
- $97,614 (pro-rata) p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

What We're Looking For
We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services (Diploma), or related fields, with eligibility for professional association membership.
- Experience in case management and working with families experiencing vulnerability.
- Strong understanding of family risk factors, child safety, and wellbeing, using a strengths-based and solution-focused approach.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and develop effective solutions.
