We’re seeking compassionate and proactive Child and Family Support Workers to join our Family Support and Care Services team, working across Geelong. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide practical, hands-on support to children, young people, and families, helping them stay connected to their communities and access the services they need.
About the Role
As a Child and Family Support Worker, you will:
- Provide day-to-day practical assistance to children, young people, and families, including transport to appointments, school, and social activities.
- Work closely with allocated Caseworkers/Key Workers to identify and address barriers to community connection.
- Promote stability, consistency, and predictability in the lives of children and families.
- Maintain clear and respectful communication with families and professionals and provide timely feedback on support activities.
- Collaborate with a wide range of services including Child Protection, schools, health providers, and community organisations.

- $37.43 - $40.13 p/h (depending on qualifications, skills & experience) + Super

What We're Looking For
We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:
- Qualification in or working towards a qualification in Social Work, Early Childhood, Psychology, Nursing, Alcohol and Other Drugs or related field.
- Ability to engage with young people, families and children with empathy and warmth.
- Demonstrated skills/understanding of risk and needs assessments.
- Demonstrated ability to respond to crisis situations.
- Understanding of the purpose and expectations of the Victorian Child Safe Standards and demonstrated commitment to contributing to a child safe organisation in both practice and culture
