At Meli, we’re looking for a reliable and proactive Facilities Assistant to help maintain our spaces and support the smooth running of our services across the region.

About the Role

As a Facilities Assistant, you’ll be part of a dedicated team responsible for:

  • Helping maintain Meli’s buildings and facilities across multiple locations
  • Performing minor repairs, basic maintenance, and safety checks
  • Supporting office relocations, furniture assembly, and workstation setups
  • Transporting items between sites and assisting with deliveries
  • Coordinating with contractors and service providers
  • Supporting emergency management and compliance activities
  • Ensuring our workspaces are safe, functional, and welcoming for staff and clients

This role is based in Geelong and includes travel to other Meli sites including Colac, Winchelsea, and Warrnambool.

  • Working either 1 FTE (38 hours per week) or 0.8 FTE (30.4 hours per week)
  • $73,961 (pro-rata for part time) p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

What We're Looking For

We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:

  • Relevant trade qualification or relevant facilities experience
  • Strong orientation to customer service and supporting others
  • High level organisational, communication and time management skills
  • Demonstrated experience of dealing with external stakeholders and complex organisations to ensure priorities and deadlines are achieved
  • Competent in self-management and solution focused
  • Proficiency in a range of software packages including MS Office, databases, online fleet management systems, online contractor, and asset management systems
  • Experience in contributing to the development of processes and systems to improve quality of service
  • Knowledge and experience in work, health and safety practices and procedures
