As a Senior Therapeutic Caseworker, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting children and young people in out-of-home care through trauma-informed, therapeutic approaches. You’ll work closely with carers and professional networks to create safe, stable environments that promote recovery, resilience, and long-term wellbeing.
About the Role
As a Senior Therapeutic Caseworker, you will:
- Provide therapeutic case management and trauma-informed support to children and young people with complex needs
- Coach and guide carers using therapeutic frameworks to promote healing and stability
- Collaborate with families, professionals, and community networks to maintain safe placements and achieve positive outcomes
- Conduct risk assessments and apply child development and trauma theories to inform care planning

- Ongoing, Full-time position
- 1 FTE working 38 hours per week
- $106,644 p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

What We're Looking For
We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, or a related discipline, together with experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in working with and understanding the developmental and therapeutic needs of vulnerable children who have lived with abuse and neglect.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills in preparing detailed, logical, and concise reports, case notes and court documentation.
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining client records and agency databases.
- An understanding of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005, including the information sharing provisions, child protection frameworks, and practices underpinned by legislation.
