As a Caseworker in our Carer Assessment, Recruitment and Support (CARS) team, you’ll play a vital role in building and sustaining a strong network of foster carers. From recruitment and training to accreditation and ongoing support, you’ll help ensure carers are equipped to provide stable, compassionate care to children in need.

About the Role

As a Caseworker Carer Assessment, Recruitment and Support (CARS), you will:  

  • Recruit, assess, train, and support foster carers to provide safe home-based placements  
  • Coordinate carer accreditation processes, including assessments, panel presentations, and annual reviews  
  • Deliver community engagement and marketing activities to promote foster care and support retention  
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to strengthen carer support and service delivery

Position Details

  • Ongoing, Full-time position
  • 1 FTE working 38 hours per week
  • $97,614 p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

What We're Looking For

We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:

  • Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology, Diploma of Welfare Studies or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experienced and skilled in facilitating training and undertaking complex assessments with recommendations.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of the child protection and out of home care systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including experience in report writing and facilitation skills
