Join our dedicated team at The Orange Door as a Men’s Practitioner, where you’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing high-quality, safe, and effective support to individuals and families in need. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in delivering integrated service responses, with a strong focus on increasing the accountability of family violence perpetrators while supporting women, children, and families experiencing family violence. Based in Colac with potential work across Geelong and Bellarine, this position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact using contemporary and evidence-based approaches, including MARAM and the Best Interests Case Practice Model, within a collaborative and dynamic environment.
About the Role
As a Men’s Practitioner, you will:
- Deliver high-quality, safe, and effective service responses within the Orange Door integrated practice model.
- Support individuals using family violence, as well as women, children, and families experiencing it.
- Conduct risk assessments, service planning, and targeted interventions using tools such as MARAM and the Best Interests Case Practice Model.
- Work collaboratively with a team of skilled professionals, including Team Leaders and Practice Leaders, to ensure coordinated and holistic support.

What We're Looking For
We value practitioners who bring empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to safety and accountability.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- A degree in Social Work (or equivalent) or be working towards one in line with Royal Commission recommendation 209 of the Royal Commission into Family Violence.
- Experience working with men, children, and families with complex needs across sectors such as Family Services, Child Protection, or Mental Health.
- Strong knowledge of sector reforms, relevant legislation, and contemporary frameworks for family violence intervention.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, sound judgement, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
