We’re seeking a proactive and compassionate Early Intervention Response Worker to join our team and help shape brighter futures for at-risk youth through school-based outreach and early intervention strategies.

About the Role

As an Early Intervention Response Worker, you will:

  • Work co-located in schools to engage with young people and their families through assertive outreach.
  • Deliver short-term interventions such as case management, single session therapy, and mediation to prevent youth homelessness, offending, and school disengagement.
  • Support the implementation of the Australian Index of Adolescent Development (AIAD) survey and contribute to screening and follow-up processes.
  • Collaborate with school staff to provide secondary consultation and innovative responses tailored to individual needs.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and contribute to data collection and brokerage administration.

Position Details

  • Part time, Ongoing position
  • 0.8 FTE working 60.4 hours per fortnight
  • $97,614 p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

What We're Looking For

We value professionals who bring empathy, initiative, and expertise to their work. To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification (Diploma or higher) in Youth Work, Social Work, or Community Welfare, with experience in client services.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in risk and needs assessments, case management, and therapeutic interventions aligned with the Best Interests Framework.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess client circumstances and determine appropriate support with limited information.
  • A clear understanding of the Victorian Child Safe Standards and a commitment to fostering a child-safe culture.
