As a Compliance Officer, you will play a key role in monitoring and reporting on critical HR compliance requirements, ensuring our organisation meets sector-specific regulatory obligations. About the Role

As a Compliance Officer, you will:  

  • Monitor and report on key compliance dates including contracts, safety screenings, and training requirements  
  • Maintain accurate data in HRIS systems and generate reports for internal stakeholders  
  • Support internal audits and compliance checks aligned with Meli’s governance schedule  
  • Assist in workforce engagement surveys and reporting using tools like Culture Amp

Position Details

  • Part-time, fixed term until 17 July 2026
  • Shape your ideal schedule with this flexible 0.6 FTE role — 45.6 hours per fortnight, with core days on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

What We're Looking For

We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:

  • Studying toward or completed tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline and experience in a similar role
  • Excellent understanding of community services sector regulations
  • Strong demonstrated attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Experience with Culture Amp, HRIS systems and compliance tracking tools
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
