We’re seeking a strategic and dynamic Learning and Development Business Advisor to join our People and Capability team and help shape the future of leadership and learning across our organisation.
About the Role
As the Learning and Development Business Advisor, you will:
- Partner with leaders and subject matter experts to design, deliver, and evaluate impactful learning initiatives.
- Lead the development of leadership programs and peer coaching networks that foster a culture of continuous learning and reflective practice.
- Support workforce capability uplift through trauma-informed care, cultural safety, and compliance-focused learning strategies.
- Act as a trusted advisor, collaborating across teams to embed leadership behaviours and drive organisational development.
This is a pivotal role that blends strategic thinking with hands-on facilitation and coaching, contributing directly to Meli’s mission of supporting people and strengthening communities.
Position Details
- Fixed term position until 31 July 2026
- 0.8 FTE working 30 hours per week
- $101,032 (pro-rata) p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

What We're Looking For
We’re looking for someone who brings expertise, creativity, and a collaborative spirit. To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Education, Organisational Development, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
- Coaching accreditation or formal training in coaching methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience in learning and development, leadership programs, and coaching.
- Strong facilitation and instructional design skills, with knowledge of trauma-informed practice and cultural safety.
- The ability to build strong relationships and influence across all levels of the organisation.
