We’re looking for a dedicated Launchpad Housing Coach to join our Better Futures Barwon team and help young people transition from care into safe, supported housing - building the skills and confidence they need to thrive.

About the Role

As a Launchpad Housing Coach, you will:

  • Provide trauma-informed, strengths-based support to young people transitioning from care into independent living
  • Deliver tailored case management and housing support that aligns with each young person’s goals in housing, education, employment, and wellbeing
  • Facilitate “The Deal”—a co-created agreement that outlines shared expectations and opportunities for growth
  • Conduct independent living skills assessments and support development in areas such as budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and time management
  • Collaborate with housing providers and care teams to ensure tenancy stability and long-term housing pathways

Position Details

  • Fixed term position until 25 September 2026 
  • 2 positions available: 0.6 FTE working 45 hours per fortnight
  • $101,032 (pro rata) p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

What We're Looking For

We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. 

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Youth Work, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with vulnerable young people and families, particularly those transitioning from statutory care
  • A trauma-informed approach and the ability to engage young people with complex needs and challenging behaviours
  • Knowledge of the Children, Youth and Families Act (2005) and the Victorian Child Safe Standards
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a commitment to youth voice and inclusive practice
